Luis Ortiz

Luis Ortiz is an independent financial advisor in the New Orleans area working with Benefit Planning Group.

Luis is a graduate of Southern Virginia University with a B.A. in Business Management and Leadership. He is also licensed in Life and Health Insurance and Security Licenses, 6, 7, and 66. With over a decade of financial industry experience, Luis's skillset was forged at Regions, Hancock Whitney, and JPMorgan Chase. At JP Morgan, he specialized in the complex wealth requirements of entrepreneurs and high-net-worth clients as a Private Banker.

Luis was born and raised in Lakeview and now lives near Brother Martin High School, his alma mater, where he and his wife, Sarah are raising their four children. In his free time, he enjoys free climbing and being a talented chess player. Luis earned his Eagle Scout and is also a Bishop of his church and mentors its youth. Another talent of Luis is that he’s fluent in Spanish.
